IP India government fees are set by the Trade Marks Registry. Professional fees are additional and quoted separately. All figures on this page are government fees only.

No — IP India government fees are non-refundable regardless of the outcome of the application. This is one of the most important reasons to conduct a professional trademark search before filing. A conflict identified after filing — and a subsequent refusal — means the fee is lost.
If your startup is registered under the DPIIT Startup India scheme, you qualify for the ₹4,500 per class government fee — the same as an individual. You must provide your DPIIT recognition certificate at the time of filing. Contact us to confirm eligibility and ensure the correct fee category is applied.
All foreign applicants — individuals and companies — pay the ₹9,000 per class fee regardless of the country they are based in. This applies to US, UK, Australian, UAE, European and all other international applicants. There is no reduced rate for foreign individual applicants.
In India, each class requires a separate application with the full fee per class. There is no discounted multi-class application fee as in some other jurisdictions. Filing in three classes costs three times the single class fee.
